Our Story

How It All Started

We didn’t come to Tai Chi because we were athletes. We came because something had started to shift.

Amanda noticed it first — a moment of hesitation at the top of her porch steps, a hand reaching for the railing that had never needed reaching before. Katy felt it in her shoulders and knees, a stiffness that crept in so gradually she almost mistook it for normal. And Linda? Linda simply got tired of feeling tired.

We were three friends in our early sixties, all quietly wondering the same thing: is this just what happens now?

The answer, it turns out, is no.

A neighbor invited Amanda to a Tai Chi class at the local community center. She went mostly out of curiosity. Within a few weeks, she brought us along. None of us expected much — slow arm movements in a church hall didn’t seem like it could change anything real. But then something did change. Quietly, steadily, in ways we couldn’t ignore.

Amanda stopped gripping the railing. Katy could turn to look over her shoulder while backing out of her driveway without wincing. Linda started sleeping better and waking up with energy she hadn’t felt in years. The improvements weren’t dramatic or sudden. They were gentle and persistent, like the practice itself.

That was over a decade ago. We’re still practicing — not because we have to, but because those ten or fifteen minutes a day have become one of the best parts of our routine. We feel steadier. More open. More at ease in our own bodies. And we’ve watched the same thing happen for friends, neighbors, and family members who gave Tai Chi a fair try.

This is why we created Forever Prime. We wanted to share what we’ve learned in a way that feels clear, safe, and genuinely useful — for anyone who wants to feel better but doesn’t know where to start.
